MACH and Trimble TAIP GPS Protocol

As of version 3.06, MACH is now able to communicate with GPS receivers using the Trimble TAIP protocol.

If your GPS receiver is set up to report coordinates at an interval greater than 1 second, you may need to adjust the new GPSINTERVAL setting in the MACH Client.Ini file in the root of your MACH folder. If the setting isn’t there, you can add it under the [Settings] header. By default, it is set to 1.

The setting is in seconds. So if your GPS receiver is set at a 5 second interval, change this setting to 4, 5, or 6 to get better GPS results in MACH.
